FOR VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC
VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT AND HOMELESSNESS

  24-HOUR CRISIS LINE

Turning Point's Crisis Line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide immediate assistance, information and referrals to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Crisis Line workers are trained in crisis intervention, domestic violence, and sexual assault. They are able to provide information about community resources that survivors need to remain safe.

Crisis line staff can connect callers with Turning Point's shelter services, Forensic Nurse Examiner Program, and provide information on other services offered by Turning Point. In cases where Turning Point is not able to assist the caller directly, we are able to refer them to other local agencies for assistance.

Making the first phone call is always a difficult step. For some it is a life-line. Over 8,000 individuals reach out every year to find hope, understanding and support. Professionally trained and highly skilled staff of interns and volunteers are available 24 hours per day, seven days per week to provide crisis counseling. Some of the callers are looking for information. Some need validation of their feelings while others are seeking a safe place to sort out their lives. Many callers are seeking counseling to help them deal with the dynamics of domestic violence or sexual assault. Other callers are simply concerned and worried about their loved ones.

Please call (586) 463-6990. We're here to help.
